|Number of episodes:||4|
|Original airing:||1982 - 1984|
Scooter Computer & Mr. Chips, unoffically known as Computer Rock, is a collection of Schoolhouse Rock! songs that discusses computers. Unlike Schoolhouse Rock, this revolved around two titular characters, Scooter Computer, a young skater, and Mr. Chips, Scooter's anthromorphic computer.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The name Mr. Chips may have likely been inspired by the 1966 film Goodbye, Mr. Chips.
- Although it is one of the least known Schoolhouse Rock! segments, it was the only one that got its own childrens' book, where Scooter is trying to build a clubhouse, but warned by Mr. Chips he lacks the money. The book ends where Scooter gets a job with an old man who owns a corner store and is looking to buy a bankrupt flower shop next to his store, which has been unoccupied for a long time, hoping to expand his store. Mr. Chips calculates what the shopkeeper will need to do in order to make the money to buy the flower shop, which inspires him to hire Scooter, ultimately giving Scooter the income needed to buy all the materials for his planned clubhouse.
